Vertical Garden Installation - A Case Study at the Bridgeport Hotel

Posted by Artificial Plant Shop on 9th Dec 2021

The BridgePort Hotel, in Murray Bridge SA, recently underwent a massive renovation, culminating in a multi-story Hotel with restaurant, bar and a second floor infinity pool overlooking the Murray River. A really stunning place to visit, stay and relax.

For the infinity pool on the second floor, they were searching for a way to introduce some zero-maintenance greenery into the space, so they gave Artificial Plant Shop a call. We presented several options and our ultra-lifelike Vertical Variegated Wall Foliage panels were the clear favourite. Loaded with lush greenery of different varieties they are a great way to instantly infuse a space with some nature inspired greenery.

Installation by our specialised team took one day. To install, each Vertical Garden panel was attached to steel mesh against the wall. Check out the photos below - the finished look is spectacular.

If you're working on your own Vertical Wall Garden installation, there are a few different ways to go about it.

  1. If you have a flat surface you can use high grade double sided tape which sticks to the surface as well as the panels.
  2. Attach to steel mesh using a crimping tool or zip ties from your local hardware store
  3. Attach to timber lattice using zip ties or a staple gun.

Each Vertical Garden panel comes on a flexible mesh backing which makes installation much easier. If you have an uneven surface or need to go around corners it makes it really easy. The panels can be cut down to size if you don't have a perfectly square area (and let's face it, who does?).

The Vertical Wall Gardens at Artificial Plant Shop are all UV resistant so you can confidently keep them out in the sun without a worry either.
